UPMC Health Plan names chief medical officer

UPMC Health Plan has named Chester (Chet) Ho, MD, as chief medical officer.

Dr. Ho will contribute to the Insurance Service Division’s business strategy and oversee the clinical and quality programs and operations, as well as population health management strategy, according to a Jan. 13 news release.

He has served in several executive leadership roles at health systems and health plans, including Indiana University Health, Carle Health, AmeriHealth Caritas, Ellipsis Health, and Evolent Health.
