Sarosh Shetty will serve as senior vice president and CIO of Optum Insight’s provider business.

Mr. Shetty shared the update on LinkedIn in June. Optum Insight is Optum’s consulting and data analytics division.

In this role, he will focus on technology as a resource to reduce provider burden, while harnessing AI responsibly.

“I am focused on how we apply AI in a responsible way that is both practical and trustworthy,” he said. “Done right, it can simplify our daily workflows, enhance quality of care, and create more reliable and secure systems that support clinicians rather than adding unnecessary complexity.”

Previously, Mr. Shetty was a chief technology officer and vice president of software engineering at Optum Insight, according to his LinkedIn profile.
