Ms. Zamore will report to CEO Steve Sell and will lead all legal functions for the Austin, Texas-based platform that assists primary care providers with transitioning to value-based care models for seniors, according to a June 28 news release.
Previously, she served as deputy general counsel at UnitedHealth Group’s Optum and oversaw coordination and management of legal, regulatory and compliance matters for all lines of business at UnitedHealthcare. Her work includes critical strategy development, state regulation of risk-bearing entities, compliance with corporate practice of medicine, privacy and employment law, claims reimbursement, contract disputes, Medicare, Medicaid, member privacy and provider disputes.
“By creating a chief legal officer position on our executive leadership team, we are taking a significant step to support our continued, rapid growth as an organization,” Mr. Sell said.
