Priority Health named Brian Steele, DO, as senior vice president and chief medical officer, effective April 6, according to a March 23 news release from the insurer.
Dr. Steele will run the insurer’s clinical and pharmacy efforts, including population health programs and chronic disease management approaches.
He previously was CMO at Collaborative Health Systems, a former subsidiary of Centene Corp. Along with his clinical efforts at Collaborative Health Systems, Dr. Steele managed quality and network initiatives, as well as medical management and provider engagement. Dr. Steele’s LinkedIn page also shows experience at Excellus BCBS and Centene’s Envolve NY.
Priority Health serves 1.4 million members across Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and Wisconsin.
