Premera Blue Cross names new board chair

Premera Blue Cross has appointed Amy Humphreys as chair of its board of directors. She replaces Jack Heath, president and COO of Washington Trust Bank in Spokane, whose term has expired. He will remain on the board.

Ms. Humphreys has 25 years of experience in manufacturing, commodities, global marketing and distribution and has held executive leadership positions at companies in the seafood, dairy and petroleum industries.

“Amy is a tremendous leader who has brought significant value to Premera since joining the board in 2017,” Jeffrey Roe, Premera president and CEO, said. “Though new to healthcare, she quickly grasped the keys to our business and has thoughtfully engaged both Premera’s board and management in pursuing our purpose of improving customers’ lives by making healthcare work better.”
