Highmark names West Virginia president

Highmark has named Jay Sheehy as president-elect of Highmark West Virginia. 

Mr. Sheehy was most recently chief underwriting officer at Gravie, a health benefits company, according to a July 9 news release. He also held roles at EmblemHealth, AIG and Aetna. 

Mr. Sheehy succeeds Jim Fawcett, who will retire at the end of 2025. Mr. Sheehy will take over the president role Jan. 3. 

Highmark West Virginia has around 250,000 members.
