Availity has named Hannah Alphs Jackson, MD, as its first chief medical officer.
As CMO, Dr. Jackson will shape the health information network’s clinical strategy and guide the responsible application of technology, automation and artificial intelligence. She will be responsible for ensuring all solutions continue to support providers, health plans and patients through clinically informed, data-driven innovation, according to a July 21 news release.
Most recently, she served as chief medical officer and vice president of network for Health Care Service Corp.’s government programs division. HCSC operates the BCBS affiliates in Illinois, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.
