Former UnitedHealth, Anthem execs join vision benefits startup

Vision benefits startup XP Health has hired former payer executives Kevin Hill and Ken Goulet as strategic advisers.

The Palo Alto, Calif.-based company, which offers an AI-powered vision benefits platform, also named Swen Carlon as vice president of operations. He was formerly vice president of operations at VSP Vision Care, according to a July 25 news release.

Mr. Goulet was previously EVP and president of commercial and specialty business at Anthem (now Elevance Health). Mr. Hill was previously regional CEO of UnitedHealth Group’s Northeast commercial division.
