Point32Health, which includes Harvard Pilgrim Health Care and Tufts Health Plan, appointed Todd Walthall to its board of directors.

According to a September news release, Mr. Walthall previously served as Optum Health’s chief growth officer, led payer markets at Optum Insight and worked as executive vice president of enterprise growth at UnitedHealth Group. Before his tenure at UnitedHealth, Mr. Walthall had been executive vice president and COO for Blue Shield of California.

Mr. Walthall’s career spans more than two decades of executive leadership positions, including and beyond healthcare, the news release said.

In June, Point32Health announced it named two other members to its board, each bringing health insurance experience.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Fall Payer Issues Roundtable, taking place November 2–3 in Chicago, payer executives and healthcare leaders will come together to discuss value-based care, regulatory changes, cost management strategies and innovations shaping the future of payer-provider collaboration.
