Brent Layton, senior adviser to the CEO at Centene, has been named CEO of digital health company Sharecare.
Mr. Layton was COO of Centene until December 2022, when he moved to an advisory role with the company. In a news release announcing the leadership changes, Centene said Mr. Layton planned to "transition toward retirement."
Mr. Layton was appointed to Sharecare's board of directors in January. His appointment as CEO is effective Jan. 2, 2024, according to documents Sharecare filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Nov. 9.
