Texas Mutual is seeking to offer additional health insurance options to small businesses, according to a Jan. 5 news release.
The Texas Legislature passed a bill in 2021 allowing Texas Mutual to create a health insurance subsidiary, the release stated. The company’s board of directors recently approved the creation of the subsidiary, which, subject to the Texas Insurance Department’s approval, plans to introduce a coverage option in early 2024.
Ms. Duncan will lead the next steps in the subsidiary’s product offering and market launch, according to the release.
