Mr. Fu previously served as chief strategy officer at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas City. He will be responsible for the New York City-based company’s expansion into areas that include the commercial self-funded market, according to a June 1 news release.
Flume also promoted Casey Hancock to senior vice president of engineering and Grant Parker to vice president of sales.
In March, the company raised $30 million in series A funding, which was led by Optum Ventures and included Cigna Ventures, the investment arms of UnitedHealth Group’s Optum and Cigna, respectively.
