Ms. Nelson was most recently senior vice president, chief counsel and deputy general counsel at the Cigna Group, according to her LinkedIn profile.
Ms. Nelson replaces Nicole Jones, who has served as Cigna’s chief legal officer since 2011. Ms. Jones is now the Cigna Group’s general counsel and chief administrative officer, according to Bloomberg Law.
According to Bloomberg Law, Ms. Nelson joined Cigna in 2018, when the company acquired Express Scripts. Ms. Nelson served as chief counsel for the pharmaceutical benefit manager.
