Capital District Physicians’ Health Plan named Brian Sheridan, MD, as regional chief medical officer.
According to an Aug. 4 news release, Dr. Sheridan will succeed Bruce Coplin, MD, in September.
Dr. Sheridan joined the CDPHP board of directors in 2020 and was previously a medical director and consultant for the organization. In his new role, he will oversee policies and provider relationships in the region, a CDPHP spokesperson told Becker’s.
Dr. Sheridan is currently a managing partner of Schoolhouse Pediatrics Associates, working on multisite operations and behavioral health, as well as access, quality and outcomes initiatives. He is a board-certified pediatrician.
