BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee has chosen Jennifer Weaver as senior vice president and chief information officer.
Ms. Weaver leads more than 800 technology professionals responsible for protecting members' data, maintaining security protocols and keeping information technology systems operating. She first joined BCBS as a business recovery coordinator in 1997 and was most recently vice president of infrastructure and operations. She also serves on the board of Siskin Rehabilitation Hospital in Chattanooga, Tenn., according to a May 17 news release.
"Jennifer has an outstanding knowledge of our organization, its technological needs and our evolving goals," said John Giblin, executive vice president and chief financial officer. "Her abilities to lead, collaborate, and succeed will help us meet the needs of the people we serve. We are grateful to have her in this role."
