Ms. Flicek was most recently chief technology Officer at Optum, according to an April 23 news release. She joined Optum in 2018 and was named CTO in 2023, according to her LinkedIn profile.
Prior to Optum, Ms. Flicek held leadership roles at Medtronic and Target Corporation. She will oversee BCBS Minnesota’s business technology, cybersecurity and data and analytics efforts.
The Eagan-based insurer also named Chris Boles as vice president of Medicare and individual segments. He has held multiple leadership roles at Elevance Health, including vice president of group retiree solutions.
