Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota has made four executive leadership appointments in human resources, treasury and investments, medical management, and legal who will report to President and CEO Dana Erickson, according to an April 19 press release.
- Mark Steffen, MD, has been promoted to senior vice president of medical management and chief medical officer. Dr. Steffen will be responsible for leading care management, health equity, population health and affordability strategies, including community-focused strategies.
- Julie Loosbrock has joined Blue Cross as senior vice president and chief human resources officer. Ms. Loosbrock will oversee all compensation and benefits programs; talent, learning and development, culture and change, and performance management programs; payroll and human resources information systems; and diversity, employee relations, facilities, and safety and security.
- May Vang has returned to Blue Cross to serve as vice president of treasury and chief investment officer. Ms. Vang will oversee all treasury and investments and is responsible for setting enterprise strategy for liquidity management, capital optimization, capital markets, rating agencies, investment performance, corporate insurance, environmental, social and governance, and shared services.
- Alicia Reuter has been promoted to vice president of legal, general counsel and assistant secretary within the legal department. Ms. Reuter will be responsible for board operational governance, corporate and business law, transactional matters, and law services oversight and management. Ms. Reuter will also serve as a primary legal liaison to the company's board of trustees.
