Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana has promoted four employees to new executive positions.
The company is introducing a new organizational structure "designed to better meet the needs of its customers through a renewed focus on simplicity," according to a July 17 news release.
The restructuring comes shortly after the insurer named Bryan Camerlinck as CEO. Mr. Camerlinck was appointed CEO in May, after BCBS Louisiana scrapped a proposed sale to Elevance Health. The deal faced widespread scrutiny from physicians and state officials.
The new structure will combine health plan operations and technology in one division, and add government business and corporate strategy to the sales and marketing division, according to the release.
Here are the company's newest executives:
- Brian Keller was appointed executive vice president and chief growth officer. Mr. Keller was formerly the company's chief marketing officer, and has been with BCBS Louisiana for 29 years.
- Paula Shepherd was named executive vice president, health plan operations and technology. Ms. Shepherd was most recently senior vice president of benefit operations.
- Tina Bourgeois was named senior vice president and chief information officer. She has been with BCBS Louisiana for 25 years, holding various roles in data and analytics and actuarial systems.
- Sherri Enright was named senior vice president and chief people officer. She was previously the company's chief human resources officer.
