BCBS Louisiana names VP of provider networks, contracting

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana has named Curtis Anders as vice president of provider networks and contracting.

Mr. Anders started July 11 and reports to Dawn Cantrell, senior vice president of health services operations, according to a July 18 news release.

He will oversee business relationships and contracts with network providers, especially as the company continues to develop value-based care programs.

Within insurance, Mr. Anders most recently served as director of provider partnerships and network management at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Mississippi. He was director of provider contracts at Molina Healthcare of Mississippi and manager of contracting and network development at Magnolia Health Plan, Centene subsidiary.

He has also worked for the Mississippi Secretary of State’s Office and was a senior contract administrator at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
