BCBS Kansas taps chief medical officer

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas has named Raelene Knolla, DO, as senior vice president and chief medical officer, according to a post on her LinkedIn page. 

Dr. Knolla most recently served as chief medical officer at Medrina, a psychiatry service provider. She previously served as senior medical director and vice president of population health at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City.

“In this role, I’ll lead efforts to expand access to high-quality, affordable whole-person care and champion initiatives that empower individuals throughout their healthcare journey,” she said in her LinkedIn post. “With over a decade of experience in healthcare leadership, I’m excited to apply my expertise in organizational strategy, clinical operations and quality improvement to address the behavioral health crisis and elevate whole-person care across our state.”
