Ms. Thornton joined the trade group in 2006, working previously at the U.S. Office of Management and Budget and Social Security Administration, according to a Sept. 19 news release.
Ms. Grow is senior vice president of communications and public affairs and will temporarily replace David Merritt, who is currently AHIP’s executive vice president of public affairs and strategic initiatives. In October, he will become senior vice president of policy and advocacy at the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association.
Ms. Grow has been with AHIP since 2016 and was previously Aetna’s vice president of corporate communications.
