Coastal Women’s Healthcare said in May Anthem would be out of network beginning Aug. 23. The sides clashed over reimbursement rates.
Two other Maine providers also recently announced they plan to drop Anthem. Portland-based Maine Medical Center said in April it is leaving Anthem’s provider network in January. Portland-based Fore River Urology said in May it is terminating its contract with Anthem in two phases beginning Aug. 1.
