Cigna, Phoenix Children’s reach tentative deal

Phoenix Children’s Hospital patients with Cigna employer-sponsored health plans will remain in network with the payer while the sides finalize a new contract.

The hospital was set to go out of network with Cigna Feb. 1 before the tentative agreement was reached, according to a Phoenix Children’s news release. The sides had been at odds over a double-digit rate increase sought by the hospital. 

Phoenix Children’s is Arizona’s only comprehensive pediatric health system.
