Dennis O’Brien, CEO of UnitedHealthcare’s individual Medicare Advantage business, has been named president of UnitedHealthcare Networks, he announced in a LinkedIn post Sept. 29.
In the new role, Mr. O’Brien said he will focus on strengthening the company’s relationships with physicians, healthcare professionals and care systems.
He first joined UnitedHealthcare in 2007 and was named CEO of the individual Medicare Advantage division in July 2025.
The move is the latest in a series of leadership changes at UnitedHealthcare this month. Bobby Hunter, CEO of government programs, announced that he was named president Sept. 28. Last week, commercial CEO Dan Kueter moved into a new role as chief commercial officer at UnitedHealth Group, and former Kaiser Permanente executive Brandon Cuevas returned to lead the commercial business.
