Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nevada tapped Manan Shah to serve as president of commercial health plans.
Mr. Shah will focus on growth, affordability and whole-health solutions for the commercial business, according to a July 9 news release shared with Becker’s.
“I’m honored to serve as president of Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nevada,” Mr. Shah said. “Nevada is a dynamic and growing state, and I look forward to working alongside our associates, provider partners, brokers, employers and community organizations to improve health outcomes and expand access to high-quality, affordable care for the people we serve.”
Mr. Shah was most recently Anthem Blue Cross of California’s vice president and general manager of its commercial business. He was responsible for growth, pricing, product development, network strategy and performance. The business line covered more than 800,000 members. He also previously held executive roles at Elevance Health.
Mr. Shah will step in as Mike Murphy departs following his more than three decades with the company, including a 20-year tenure as commercial president, the release said.
