Mark Huth, MD, president and CEO of the Group Health Cooperative of South Central Wisconsin, a member-owned health plan, will retire in April 2027.
A May 26 news release said Dr. Huth will retire after two decades with the cooperative, where he started as a family physician. Before becoming president and CEO in 2015, Dr. Huth was a clinic medical director, chief of staff and chief medical officer at the organization.
Under Dr. Huth’s leadership, the National Committee for Quality Assurance rated the Group Health Cooperative of South Central Wisconsin as one of two five-star commercial health plans in 2018.
He has also represented his organization through the Wisconsin Association of Health Plans and the Alliance of Community Health Plans.
