Christy Valentine Theard, MD, will serve as the plan president for Anthem BCBS Medicaid in New York, according to a March 24 news release shared with Becker’s.
Dr. Valentine Theard served as CEO of Healthy Blue Louisiana, which manages Medicaid and Medicare coverage. She was also the commissioner for New Orleans East Hospital and spent eight years on Louisiana’s medical board.
Her successor, Mark Levy, MD, retired at the end of 2025 after serving as plan president for four years. Dr. Levy worked at Elevance Health for 17 years.
