Gold Coast Health Plan appointed Suma Simcoe as COO, effective Oct. 15, according to an Oct. 30 news release.
Ms. Simcoe joined GCHP from L.A. Care Health Plan and was previously at Molina Healthcare. She has a record of launching alternative reimbursement frameworks, boosting automation and improving quality performance, the release said. Ms. Simcoe has nearly 25 years of progressive leadership experience, having supervised Medicaid, Medicare and exchange businesses.
“Suma brings a wealth of operational expertise, deep understanding of managed care and a proven record of turning complex challenges into sustainable results,” said Felix Nuñez, MD, GCHP’s CEO.
GCHP serves 240,000 Medi-Cal members in Ventura County, Calif.
