Health First Health Plans has replaced its president, Matthew Gerrell, with its COO, Jamie Forrest, effective immediately, Florida Today reported April 11.
“We remain focused on delivering exceptional service to our members, providers, brokers and community partners,” a spokesperson for the organization told the outlet. “As a policy, we do not comment on personnel matters.”
Mr. Gerrell had been with Health First since 2006 and served as president of the health plan since 2019. Ms. Forrest will serve as interim president while continuing to serve as COO.
Rockledge, Fla.-based Health First operates four hospitals. Health First Health Plans has about 100,000 members across Medicare Advantage and individual and family plans.
