Vanguard paid $117 million for the property, according to the report. Centene still owns about 50 acres of undeveloped land on the site.

St. Louis-based Centene announced the project in 2020 but canceled it in August 2022, citing the shift to hybrid and remote work.

Centene paid $19 million to acquire the property, according to the report. The campus was the largest economic development in the city’s history when it was announced. Centene at the time had formally committed to investing $1 billion and hiring 3,200 employees.
