Highmark’s agreement with Temple Health’s hospitals includes individual ACA, small group ACA, large group fully insured and large group self-insured plans, according to a May 17 news release from the payer.
Dan Tropeano, Highmark’s segment president for Southeastern Pennsylvania, said in the release that the agreement is a “key step as Highmark builds a hospital network in the region.” Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield operates in Western and Northeastern Pennsylvania, while Highmark Blue Shield operates in the central and now southeastern parts of the state. Highmark BCBS also operates in West Virginia, Delaware and parts of New York.
