How payers stack up on community investments

Payers took four of the top five spots for community support in Just Capital's ranking of the "most just" companies in America.

The rankings, published Jan. 10, rated the top 1,000 publicly traded companies in various areas of corporate-social responsibility.

The community category rated companies on creating jobs in the U.S., addressing human rights in supply chains, contributing to community development and giving back to local communities.

Here's how payers stacked up:

CVS Health: No. 2 in food and drug retailers, No. 8 overall

UnitedHealth: No.1 in healthcare, No. 22 overall

Humana: No. 2 in healthcare, No. 24 overall

Elevance Health: No. 4 in healthcare, No. 28 overall

Cigna: No. 5 in healthcare, No.58 overall
