CVS Health is looking for an executive director of payer contracting to provide strategy and oversight of the company's primary care contracts.
The role, posted Feb. 6, would entail establishing value-based agreements with national and regional health plans across commercial, Medicare and Medicaid markets. The position would report to CVS' AVP for network management of retail health contracting and value.
The hired individual would also lead negotiations on potential commercial value-based care contracts with payers and advise the company's senior leadership on payer strategy and industry trends.
CVS is seeking an individual with at least 10 years of experience in value-based healthcare contracting and with knowledge of the financial, contractual and operational requirements of managed care organizations and physician group practices.
