The role, posted Feb. 6, would entail establishing value-based agreements with national and regional health plans across commercial, Medicare and Medicaid markets. The position would report to CVS’ AVP for network management of retail health contracting and value.

The hired individual would also lead negotiations on potential commercial value-based care contracts with payers and advise the company’s senior leadership on payer strategy and industry trends.

CVS is seeking an individual with at least 10 years of experience in value-based healthcare contracting and with knowledge of the financial, contractual and operational requirements of managed care organizations and physician group practices.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Fall Payer Issues Roundtable, taking place November 17–19 in Chicago, payer executives and healthcare leaders will come together to discuss value-based care, regulatory changes, cost management strategies and innovations shaping the future of payer-provider collaboration.
