Cigna Group CEO David Cordani earned $22.9 million in 2025.
The company reported the earnings of its top executives in its annual proxy report. Mr. Cordani earned roughly $400,000 less than in 2024, when he was paid $23.3 million in total compensation.
Brian Evanko, president and chief operating officer, will assume the CEO role upon Mr. Cordani’s retirement in July. Mr. Evanko currently oversees both Cigna Healthcare and Evernorth Health Services, taking on unified leadership of the two businesses in 2025. He previously served as Cigna Healthcare’s president and CEO and as the Cigna Group’s CFO, and has worked at Cigna for nearly 30 years. Effective July 1, Mr. Cordani will serve as executive chair of the board, a position he steps into after nearly 17 years as CEO.
