About 100 jars of honey are expected for harvesting in the fall and will then be available to purchase for 1,800 BCBS employees, according to a Sept. 20 news release.

“Bees are important for pollinating and saving our planet, so we want to join that cause with this small act of putting bees at our headquarters,” Luis Campos, senior manager of facilities operations, said. “We’re excited to join the cause of urban beekeeping.”
