The February list of 1,000 companies was created in partnership between Newsweek and research firm Plant-A Insights. The five-star scoring system is based on public data, human resources interviews and 350,000 responses from employee surveys. Respondents answered questions about corporate culture, working environment and other topics at both their companies and others they were familiar with.
