Blue Shield of California is expanding its digital health record to improve care quality and member experience.
The initiative aims to streamline data for members and provide greater access to care coordination, according to a May 15 news release.
The enhanced digital health record will allow members to access their health information, including lab results, medications, and appointments, in one centralized platform. Blue Shield is also focusing on using data analytics to better identify high-value services for members. The health record platform will also be integrated with other technologies to provide personalized recommendations for preventive care.
At the Becker's 5th Annual Fall Payer Issues Roundtable, taking place November 2–3 in Chicago, payer executives and healthcare leaders will come together to discuss value-based care, regulatory changes, cost management strategies and innovations shaping the future of payer-provider collaboration.
