The Rochester, N.Y.-based payer opened the center to provide a place for customers to get in-person support and information about Medicare Advantage and other plans.
Jessica Renner, southern tier regional president at Excellus, told the TV station some customers prefer asking questions about health plans in person.
“We believe that having the resource center here shows the community that we believe in this community, that we’re a resource for this community and that we’re local,” Ms. Renner told WIVT.
