Enrollment in ACA exchange plans is up 40 percent from this time last year, President Joe Biden said in remarks to business and labor leaders on Nov. 18.
In a news release, HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra said open enrollment is "off to a strong start."
"We will not rest until we can connect everyone possible to healthcare coverage this enrollment season," he said.
Four in 5 customers will be able to purchase a plan for $10 or less, due to increased ACA marketplace subsidies added as part of the Inflation Reduction Act.
HHS will release the first report on ACA exchange open enrollment data Nov. 22.
