ACA enrollments up 40% from last year, Biden says

Enrollment in ACA exchange plans is up 40 percent from this time last year, President Joe Biden said in remarks to business and labor leaders on Nov. 18.

In a news release, HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra said open enrollment is “off to a strong start.” 

“We will not rest until we can connect everyone possible to healthcare coverage this enrollment season,” he said. 

Four in 5 customers will be able to purchase a plan for $10 or less, due to increased ACA marketplace subsidies added as part of the Inflation Reduction Act. 

HHS will release the first report on ACA exchange open enrollment data Nov. 22.
