Question: From a business perspective, what are you and your organization most excited about as we begin 2025?

Josh Goode, Chief Information Officer at SCAN Group: At SCAN, we’re excited about the endless possibilities AI is bringing to healthcare and take a multifaceted approach to deploying and leveraging AI across the organization. In 2025, we will continue to implement AI to expand our workforce’s capabilities, streamline our processes, and enhance the member experience. We’re also transforming our data foundation, which is the underpinning of all our AI initiatives, and integrating AI into our engagement systems to better serve everyone we support.

Kenric Murayama, MD, Executive Vice President And Chief Health Officer at Hawaii Medical Service Association: In 2025, the health care ecosystem continues to grow increasingly complex with evolving requirements for success due to government regulations, decreased reimbursements, industry consolidations, workforce challenges, and evolving provider work models. It’s clear there is much to do. We’re excited to work more closely with our health system partners to address the total cost of care, collaborate with our provider networks to support them with innovative ‘win-win’ solutions, develop sustainable care delivery models for the non-urban parts of our island state, and extend HMSA’s payer network beyond Hawaii to improve the scale of services and maximize impact. Finally, we are committed to identifying and implementing solutions to address the administrative burden tied to care delivery at all levels of Hawaii’s health care ecosystem.

Margaret Anderson, Interim President, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer at Health Alliance Plan: From a business standpoint, 2024 was a banner year for HAP, and we’re poised to build on that momentum in 2025. After introducing our first co-branded Medicare product with Henry Ford Health, driving unprecedented membership growth, and expanding into new markets, we look forward to leveraging our broader footprint to advance value-based care and deliver cutting-edge solutions for our members and business partners. By embracing bold thinking, innovative technology, and strategic collaborations, we will continue to break barriers and set new standards in affordable healthcare delivery.

Jim Polo, MD, Chief Medical Officer at Carelon Behavioral Health: Behavioral Health has been challenged for many years by high disease prevalence, societal stigma, a fractured delivery system, an inadequate workforce, and multiple barriers to care. What I am most excited by is the explosion of technology – artificial intelligence, virtual reality, digital therapeutics, brain-computer interfaces, wearable sensors, etc. – all of which collectively will help transform behavioral health care by expanding accessibility, fostering personalization, improving effectiveness, and lowering costs of care.

Damanjeet Chaubey, MD, Vice President, Clinical Affairs at Clover Health:

  1. Growth, profitability and innovation, ~27% Medicare Advantage membership growth in 2025
  2. Well positioned to manage 2025 membership with sustainable quality outcomes with a well differentiated tech-centric model that aligns with home-based clinical delivery model built for an aging population
  3. Empowering every physician with technology to identify, manage and treat chronic diseases earlier
  4. A different approach to empowering accessible and affordable healthcare

Rich Waldron, Ohio Market President at Devoted Health: The most exciting point on the horizon is expanding our ability to improve the health and well-being of so many more Americans as we grow our footprint and our capabilities.
