Mr. Sarich writes expansion of health savings accounts and health maintenance organizations will occur under Republicans’ tax bill. Specifically, he listed four ways tax reform could affect healthcare:
1. HSAs could become a permanent trait of the healthcare industry
2. More patient-centered care will be administered through ACOs
3. Patient services will be decentralized from regional hospitals to small, local outlets
4. The insurance market will comprise association group health plans and the ability to sell insurance across state lines
