Two insurers — Bloomfield, Conn.-based Cigna and Oscar Health in New York City — will sell individual policies on the federally-run exchange in the Nashville area for coverage beginning next year. The companies’ on-exchange and off-exchange products are not in-network with the academic medical center.
John Howser, VUMC’s chief communications officer, told the Tennessean Thursday it is “in active discussions with one or more participating payers about an exchange contract and we hope to have an announcement soon.”
