Here are three things to know.
1. The Aetna Whole Health – Tennessee product will be an employer-based health plan. Self-insured and fully-insured businesses purchasing the product will gain access to Vanderbilt Health Affiliated Network’s 5,000 physicians, 61 hospitals and 60-plus urgent care centers and walk-in clinics.
2. The ACO product features a pay-for-performance payment model, with physician reimbursement based on measures such as the percent of patients receiving recommended preventive care, chronic illness management, reducing avoidable hospital readmissions and reducing emergency room visits.
3. Coverage under Aetna Whole Health –Tennessee is effective Jan. 1.
