Patients in value-based care relationships were more likely to receive preventive screenings than those in fee-for-service only, according to Humana's 10th annual value based care report.
The report, published Nov. 15, compared outcomes for Humana's Medicare Advantage beneficiaries in some form of value-based care relationship to those who only received fee-for-service care.
Rates of medication adherence and pain screening were similar among populations, while rates of screening and management of osteoporosis and eye exams for patients with diabetes were higher in value-based care populations.
