Reports from the Utah state department of insurance warn that premiums could rise 15 to 20 percent if ACA subsidies are repealed, according to The Salt Lake Tribune.

Utah residents received more than $100 million in Medicaid subsidies last year. This premium hike would come after a 30 percent increase in 2017 for those who bought private plans on the ACA marketplace.

The state department of insurance won’t have hard estimates on premium hikes until later this summer, but officials are preparing for high rate increases should the AHCA pass through the Senate.
