The organizations’ initiative aimed to curb unnecessary hospitalizations. A report from the organizations, which included data from more than 5,000 UnitedHealthcare Medicaid patients who received care from GraceMed last year, documented improvements in four quality measures.
Specifically, well child visits increased 34 percent for children ages three to six and cervical screenings grew 15 percent. In addition, diabetes screenings increased 18 percent and kidney disease screenings jumped 8 percent, according to the report.
