UnitedHealth Group expects revenues of up to $455 billion in 2025.
The company hosted its annual investor conference on Dec. 4. UHG CEO Andrew Witty abruptly canceled the event about one hour after it had started because UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was fatally shot nearby.
Before the event was canceled, UnitedHealth and Optum executives provided investors with a detailed outlook for the upcoming year and the company's strategy and future growth potential.

5. Optum Health serves 4.7 million patients in fully accountable value-based arrangements, with 650,000 lives expected to transition to Optum Health in a fully capitated model over the next year.
6. 100% of Optum's value-based patients will be integrated into the company's unified data systems by the end of 2024, up from 18% in 2023.
7. 80% of Optum's employed providers will use one of three preferred EHRs by the end of the year, down from 18 systems three years ago.
Artificial intelligence
8. 16,000 engineers at UnitedHealth Group are now equipped with generative AI capabilities.
9. 8.4 million lines of code were generated by AI at the company within the last 30 days, and 24 million lines this year.
