UnitedHealth Exec to Lead England’s National Health Service

Simon Stevens, executive vice president and global health president at health insurer UnitedHealth Group, has been named to lead England’s National Health Service, according to a report from The Guardian.

Mr. Stevens will replace Sir David Nicholson, effective April 2014. He has served his current role at UnitedHealth, the largest health insurer in the U.S., since January 2009. Previously, he was the adviser on health to former U.K. Prime Minister Tony Blair.
