The University of Vermont Health Network and UnitedHealthcare have again extended their current contract, this time through May 27, VTDigger reported May 13.
The extension comes as they continue to finalize a new contract, according to the report. The payer and provider previously extended their current contract through May 13 to work on the deal.
"This is complex work that takes time, and extending the agreement allows us to complete the process without interruptions to coverage for our patients," a University of Vermont Health Network spokesperson told VTDigger.
