Top-ranked insurers for customer satisfaction

Consumers’ overall satisfaction with health insurers is up 4% over 2023, according to a report from the American Customer Satisfaction Index published Oct. 17.

Customer satisfaction with insurers reached a score of 76 out of a 100, the highest in the index’s history, according to the report. 

Almost every major insurer saw gains in its overall customer rating. 

Here’s how major payers fared in the index, and their scores out of 100: 

  1. Humana: 82
  2. All others: 78
  3. UnitedHealth: 78
  4. Aetna: 77 
  5. Blue Cross Blue Shield: 75 
  6. Centene: 75 
  7. Kaiser Permanente: 73
  8. Cigna: 72
